After losses to Brothers and Kangaroos following the bye to start the season, the Bulls scored a 20-8 win over Tumut at Harris Park on Sunday.
After some promising signs against two of the competition's best sides, Zoe Fitzsimmons thought the result could be a big confidence booster for the team.
"We've been building for the last two weeks and coming off those losses we knew what we had to work on at training," Fitzsimmons said.
"We've been really lucky to get Jeremy (Hampton) to come on board as coach and to get a few new players.
"Working together has been great and to get a win has made the girls very happy.
"Now we are going to keep pushing forward to get a few more wins on the board and hopefully make finals."
Newcomer Matilda McCrone led the way as she scored a hat-trick in the win.
Meanwhile Kangaroos continued their unbeaten start to the season by trashing Junee 92-0 at Laurie Daley Oval on Saturday.
While the Wagga side just missed out on scoring the 94 points Brothers put on the Diesels the week earlier they did score more tries.
Brothers had a much tougher task on their hands against Gundagai on Sunday, but came through with a 10-6 victory to set up an intriguing clash with unbeaten Young.
