Berkrey missed the tight win over Brothers on Sunday after re-aggravating an issue he picked up while the Tigers had the bye.
He is hoping scan results will be favourable.
"I got hurt last Thursday training with reserve grade, it was just a little bit of a strain, and we worked on it all week and thought it was going to be fine but trained on Friday and just re-aggravated it," Berkrey said.
"It's a bit unknown as I can walk, I can run, I do some weights but I just can't off and explode with any sort of movement.
"I'll find out more in the coming days."
Aisea Taholo came into the starting side for Berkrey.
He was just pleased the team was able to bank another win heading into a clash with Kangaroos on Saturday.
"We probably went the hard way about it at times, and didn't play our best footy, but at this time of year you just want to be winning and making sure you're improving every game," Berkrey said.
"Whether you win by eight or win by 80 it is no different."
