It used to be a rare sight, a person covering half their face as they went about their business.
But it seems the Wagga community has well and truly ramped up jumping on board the mask train.
Earlier in the week, you could see that the message about masks when you can't guarantee social distancing was starting to sink in.
Face coverings have become more and more familiar through the COVID-19 pandemic, and after the Victorian government mandated mask-wearing when outside, it's left many wondering when we in NSW will be under the same conditions.
For now, though, it remains a recommendation. If you don't think you can maintain social distancing, wear a mask.
In other news
At the start of last week, there was a noticeable smattering of the medical and the magnificent hand-made coverings on the faces of those wandering the shops and roaming the streets.
By the weekend, you would've been forgiven for feeling a bit uncomfortable if you'd ventured to the CBD without a mask.
Not just because there were plenty of people milling around (at respectable distances, for the most part), but because you're on the way to being outnumbered.
It could be because more shops, particularly supermarkets and chains, are asking customers to mask up when entering their stores.
Or maybe it's the availability of disposable personal protective equipment lighting up almost every online catalogue that drops into our inboxes.
Perhaps it's due to the boom in locally-made fabric ones that are permeating Facebook selling pages.
If you can support local businesses and fundraising groups - many of whom are busily cutting, folding, and stitching around the clock to keep up with demand - even better.
You might not mask for yourself, but you could be doing so for your grandparents. Or your family, your colleagues, our essential workers, those at risk, the tireless staff at the supermarkets, petrol stations, hardware stores and restaurants.
We're all in this together.
