The Bureau of Meteorology has recorded a total rainfall of 5.2 millimetres across the city by 9am.
However, technical officer of Wagga's BoM office, Nigel Smedley, said more rain is on its way with a 100 per cent chance of 20 to 30mm expected to fall in Wagga today.
"It is very cloudy, a high chance of rain and very windy at 35 to 50 kilometres," he said. "It is still raining and there is a fair bit of rain on the radar now."

Mr Smedley said the forecast is going to continue for most of the day and into the weekend.
On Saturday, there is a 90 per cent chance of four to six millimetres of rain, while on Sunday there is a 90 percent chance of four to eight millimetres.
"There is a complex low pressure system moving through NSW bringing widespread rain and windy conditions to many areas. It continues into Saturday ... and starts to ease on Monday," he said.
