The Boiled Lollies continued their strong start to the season with a 46-13 win over Tumut at Conolly Rugby Complex on Saturday.

For the third time in as many weeks Wagga City put on an almost identical scoreline.

President Dan Ribot continues to be impressed with how they have started their shortened season.

"It is good but we have to do it again and then again," Ribot said.

Tumut have a win over CSU to their credit so far this season but provided a real challenge through their forward pack.

Ribot was pleased with how the team responded to remain unbeaten.

"It was a very tough game," he said.

"Tumut, as they always are, were hard up the middle and our set piece was good but we failed to capitalise early with a few opportunities.

"However in the end the guys did as they do, which is stick together and try to stick to our game plan and got away with it

Peter Little crossed for a double in the win and continues to make an impact in the 15-man game.

Ribot has been impressed by how the former Group Nine star has been orchestrating their attack.

"Pete Little, again, was outstanding but it is really great to see some of the younger guys, and players who have been with us since juniors in Jacob Nielsen, Nathan Smith and Jesse Uhr have great games," Ribot said.

Adam Mokotupu also continued his strong start to the season.

Meanwhile Waratahs responded to their heavy loss to Wagga City with a 35-24 win over CSU.

Co-coach Angus Stevenson thought the six-tries-to-three win was another improvement.

"There are elements of what could be great and there are still things to be worked on and improved ," Stevenson said.

"It was a definite step in the right direction."

Waratahs went into the clash without some players including captain James Whiteley, vice captain George Mallat, Charlie Sykes and Tom Green but were able to get on top of CSU early.

Taking a 17-3 lead into half-time, the Reddies continued to fight but struggled to make too many inroads into the margin.

Waratahs are six points behind Wagga City but five clear of Tumut with the top two teams going straight through to the grand final next month.

Stevenson is looking for some more polish on their performances with games against the Bulls in the next two weeks while CSU tackles Wagga City.
