The two-year-old resumes at Riverina Paceway on Friday after a win in April.
Woodhouse has stepped in for injured trainer-driver Ray White and is expecting another strong performance.
"He's coming along," Woodhouse said.
"I've had him since the accident as he had only just started to be worked up.
"He's a nice horse and while I haven't got him tightened right up yet."
Woodhouse is wary of one of Bernie Kelly's two runners in the two-year-old race to start the program.
Mach Legacy's was too good for Menames Needy is a trial at Coolamon on Sunday and has also drawn better.
"I thought it went super and will probably take a fair bit of beating but he (Menames Needy) will just need a couple of runs to tighten right up," Woodhouse said.
"He's a pretty quick horse."
Menames Needy is part of brilliant start to sire Warrawee Needy's siring career.
In his first season at Woodhouse's Yirribee Pacing Stud, Warrawee Needy has produced nine winners from 14 starters of his crop of 47 foals.
Woodhouse couldn't be happier with what he's achieved so far.
"You would be hard to please if you weren't happy with them," he said.
"He's had nine winners from only 13 or 14 starters."
Only Captaintreacherous, with 22, has more as a first-season sire.
Woodhouse also lines up first starter Heza Blaster while he's hoping Nobby Clock can continue his good run of form.
Nobbys Clock has won three of his last five starts but coming off another win has to contend with barrier eight in the TAB Odds & Evens Pace (1740m).
Woodhouse continues to be impressed with the son of Lombo Pocket Watch.
"The horse is going really well and I'm really pleased with him," he said.
"He is getting stronger all the time as he's getting older and it is going to be up to Pete (McRae) whether he puts him in the race early or waits for one run."
The Canadian Club 2YO Pace (1740m) kicks the meeting off at 1.22pm.
