Osborne overcame a chaotic preparation to prove they won't be making up the numbers in the AFL Riverina Championships with a tough 9.8 (62) to 6.11 (47) victory over Wagga Tigers at Robertson Oval on Saturday.

Motivated to prove they can mix it against Riverina League opposition, the Hume League powerhouse overcame a third quarter rally from the Tigers to win after a composed final quarter.
Down by as may as 23 points in the second term, the Tigers hit the front in the third quarter after three consecutive goals.
But Osborne was able to recover after finding goals from two 50-metre penalties and a free kick.
Their nine-point three quarter time lead was extended to 23 through goals to Kodie O'Malley and Izaac McDonnell early in the fourth term.
Osborne coach Joel Mackie, who is unable to participate due to a recommended ban on Albury-based players, said he was proud of how his young team overcame adversity, and kept their heads late in the game.
"The way we've approached the year (has been good), our whole buildup has been bizarre," he said.
"It was our effort, it was a tough and physical game. Wagga threw everything at us and the way we absorbed that pressure and were able to compose themselves in the final quarter, I was so proud of them.
"To be honest, leading into the week the boys had to remind me how young the team was. They were super and all played their role in the outcome today."
Sixteen-year-old ruckman Nick Madden was strong in his first senior game, while Ethan Weidemann and Edward O'Connell were dangerous throughout on the wings.
The only downside for Osborne was a shoulder injury picked up by Clancy Galvin.
The Tigers suffered a setback when Shaun Campbell and Jake Gaynor didn't play after their clearances didn't come through in time.
Mackie said it was a relief to prove they are competitive in the six-team competition.
"It's not about proving a point I wouldn't say, it's about competing and giving a good account of ourselves," he said.
"I knew they'd throw everything at us and the way they stood up and gave it back, I'm super proud."
Tigers coach Troy Maiden said Osborne simply out-enthused them, and said their ill discipline in giving away goals late in the third term was crucial.
"They wanted it more than us, that was plainly obvious," he said.
"They probably gave us a lesson in two way running, and looking at it it probably meant more to them than it seemed to to us.
"Their pressure was right up."
