POLICE are investigating the theft of a horse from a Riverina property last week.

The animal was reportedly stolen from a Barmedman property on Hope Street, with police called to the scene at about 8.30am on Friday, July 10.
Officers have been told a woman was seen using a pair of pliers to cut the fence surrounding the property around the time of the incident.
Inquiries are continuing and the Murrumbidgee Police District are appealing for anyone who may have seen a blue Ford utility with a horse float in the area at the time of the incident to come forward.
