Outclassed by Riot Act at Nowra earlier this month, Ma Bella Rosie is looking to break through at her seventh start, having placed in both runs this preparation.
The three-year-old filly was duelling for favouritism at $2.70 with the Danny Williams-trained Kez in the 1400m event, where they are drawn alongside each other in barriers three and four.
"She was a bit unlucky at Kembla first-up, having to go back to the inside and then worked home well on a wet track at Nowra," Bateup said.
"And she's finally drawn a gate this time, so hopefully she'll get her chance."
Stablemate Club Legend battled away at the tail of the field in the same race as Ma Bella Rosie at Nowra, but now steps out to a mile in the first race of the day, jumping at 1.05pm.
Bateup knows Jordan Mallyon will need some luck on Magico Hombre if the two-year-old gelding is to cross from barrier 10 in Tuesday's 1200m Maiden.
However, she believes he has plenty of upside after a first-up fourth over 1100m at Nowra.
"I've always had a bit of time for this horse," Bateup said.
"He's drawn awkwardly, but he's gained some fitness out of that Nowra run, so he'll be better for that for sure."
Completing her quartet of runners is Eberlee, who will jump from barrier seven with Jess Taylor aboard in a 1400m Class 1.
