Kennedy came in for his first AFL game of the season and was one of the Blues' best in their 52-point win on Sunday night.
The Collingullie product had a game-high 11 contested possessions and finished with 20 disposals for the night as the Blues marched into the top eight.
Lloyd went to Twitter on Sunday night to praise not only Kennedy's performance, but the work he has done to ensure he can excel at AFL level.
"His body shape has changed dramatically. Looks 3kg lighter," Lloyd tweeted.
"Love seeing players like that who you can clearly see have done the work and made significant changes.
"Magnificent win."
Kennedy told SEN on Monday that he enjoyed being back in the Blues' midfield.
"I really worked on my fitness during the break and the whole isolation period," Kennedy told SEN.
"I think now it's just turning back to that real midfield role for me and trying, I suppose, to help Crippa and get another big body in there because we don't want to be reliant on one player the whole time.
"We want to have multiple blokes performing and I think I can see myself locking down a spot in that midfield hopefully for the next few years.
"For me, it's just working on my inside craft for the minute and I suppose my work rate and my tank to help me transition better from stoppage."
Kennedy is part of Carlton's hub in Queensland at the moment and he will be looking to continue his form on Sunday when the Blues take on Port Adelaide at the Gabba.
