The person had returned from overseas and has not yet returned to the region, but will be counted in the MLHD statistics as they are a resident of the Snowy Valleys local government area.
The case is one of five across the state reported today and takes the MLHD's total cases to 49.
Another person in hotel quarantine tested positive, while three close contacts of a previously confirmed case make up the day's numbers.
Anyone with even the mildest symptoms such as sore throat, cough, fever or shortness of breath can book a free test by calling the Murrumbidgee COVID-19 Hotline on 1800 831 099.
