Wagga is looking likely to receive a bit of a wet spell across the weekend while dodging the stormy weather expected in other parts of the state.
Technical officer for the Bureau of Meteorology's Wagga office Nigel Smedley said the city is expected to get some rain from a system that is moving through the area from the east coast.
Mr Smedley said there is already rain developing on the radar towards Culcairn and Holbrook with a 70 per cent chance there will be showers this evening. However, he said the bulk of rain will hit the coast of NSW.
In other news:
According to the bureau, there is a 95 per cent chance of rain of up to 10 millimetres on Saturday and a 90 per cent chance of rain of up to 10 millimetres on Sunday. There is only a 40 per cent chance of up to three millimetres on Monday.
Mr Smedley said that more rain is expected to fall if a storm passes through the area, which is forecast to do so.
