The Hume League powerhouse's application to join the Riverina League for a one-off season was granted approval by the AFL Riverina board on Tuesday night.
Riverina League clubs voted six to three in favour of Osborne's arrival, with that support then backed up by the AFL Riverina board.
Osborne will feature in a new-look nine-round Riverina League season, that will feature a top six finals series.
Osborne will play just three home games, a condition of entry, while existing Riverina League clubs will play either four or five.
AFL Riverina chairman Michael Irons confirmed Osborne's approval.
"After considering club feedback and that the majority of clubs were in favour of Osborne joining, the board approved Osborne's application to become an affiliate club member for 2020 subject to Osborne providing a list of names for their under 17.5's team," Irons said.
Osborne's one-year foray will be boosted by the signings of Elliott Powell, Tom Johnson and Harry Weaven.
Johnson is a key forward from Wodonga and Weavan arrives having just crossed to Lavington from Jindera, while Powell is a premiership teammate of coach Joel Mackie at Albury Tigers.
Osborne president Jason Gooden was pleased to now be able to provide his members with the opportunity to play this season.
"The objective of the Osborne Footy Club is to provide football and netball for our community, a bit of social interaction within the health guidelines," Gooden said.
"I want to thank AFL Riverina for allowing us in. We're very humbled.
"We thank the Hume League as well, for their endorsement, so we can continue our sport. We've been associated for 50 years and I think it's the best country footy and netball league in the country. It's a terrific league and this is only for one year.
"Footy is the winner."
The three existing Riverina League clubs that do not get five home games this season will each host a final in the opening week of the new-look finals series.
