The bitch is one of three greyhounds in the Caltex On Fernleigh Free For All (320m) on Sunday who have won their last two starts.
Bianca Keeping has also been in winning form for Ray Sims while Runaway Tommy is out to make it four straight for Ben Talbot.
The pair have Shannon Ellis the most wary.
"She is going good at the moment but is stepping up in grade a fair bit from a fifth grade to a free-for-all," Ellis said. "On her best time she will be thereabouts."
However Fancy Gem has been boosted by the one box.
Ellis can hope she can take advantage, especially with Soustaille, who won three and four starts back for Sims, drawn in box two.
"If she steps she will be a chance," he said.
"Any of those dogs in the race can win it but if she gets to the corner in front she is a good chance.
"Runaway Tommy is on fire at the moment, and so is Ben Talbot, and Ray Sims has Bianca Keeping and Soustaille, who I'm hoping might run a bit of cover for me, and if any of them other dogs jump in front then I'm not going to beat them either."
Ellis and wife Corinna also have Dyna Joanie entered across the 11-race card.
She hasn't won since February, but has consistently around the mark with eight top four finishes in 11 starts since then.
"She has been going good but just finding a couple a bit too good for her," Ellis said.
