Another popular Riverina event has fallen victim to uncertainty around coronavirus restrictions, with the Junee Rhythm n Rail Festival officially cancelled for 2020.

The event, originally due to be held in May, was postponed earlier in the year with tentative plans to reschedule into September or October.
The cancellation comes after the Junee Show Society announced earlier this month their spring event would not be going ahead.
Rhythm n Rail committee president Leasa Toll said volunteers expected the event would likely fall under restrictions for music festivals, which are expected to be some of the last events to be fully re-instated as coronavirus case rates drop in NSW.
"It was a committee decision and unfortunately this is our second time not running, but fingers crossed we can get up and going next year," Ms Toll said.
"Our number one priority is the health and safety not only of our volunteers, but our musicians, the attendees, everyone who is attending or is involved."
Ms Toll said the committee would continue to keep their "eye on the ball" with the aim to come back in 2021, with many musicians originally booked for the 2020 event on board for whenever it can return.
"We want to showcase Junee and get the festival back up and running and get the economical growth back in the community," Ms Toll said.
"I just want to thank the community and everyone involved ... for their ongoing support and their understanding."
