The young Bombers won just one game last year in seniors, but Scofield is confident the talent is there to be a powerhouse in a few years after the under-17s made last year's grand final.
Scofield joined Marrar this season after guiding North Wagga to the preliminary final last year.
"They're obviously a club that struggled last year in the top grade, and I think anything we can do to bridge that gap between top and bottom is a good thing," he said.
"If I can go out there and try and improve that team and club as a whole, then that's only good for everyone concerned.
"I had a conversation with the netball coordinator this week and I said to her I'll be going back next year. It was never a one year thing, I was going to try and build something.
"I'm not sure how we'll go this year, we'll have to wait and see but it's not a short term thing."
Scofield won't put any pressure on the team to succeed this season, and will play the patient game.
"I'm not really concerned about winning or losing this year, as long as we can improve in certain areas and build," he said.
"Hopefully over the next few years we can develop a few things, and go from there.
"We do have a fairly young team but it's good in a way, they're all really keen and willing to learn.
"They're all little sponges I suppose, I can see them taking in everything I'm saying so it's going to be really good I think.
"They've been pretty competitive in the under-17s the last couple of years, so hopefully we can build on that."
Scofield said a delay in training and a shortened season due to coronavirus has made life tougher.
"I gave the girls some home ball work and fitness programs, and a few challenges I set for them," he siad.
"We only started training last week and they did look a little bit rusty, but they're in a lot better place than I expected."
