The meal delivery service is set to launch from early September.
Uber Eats' Head of New Zealand and Regional Australia Elisa Janiec said Wagga will be the first town in NSW, and one of the first regions in the country, to be part of the Uber Eats expansion this year.
She said the Uber Eats app has been "opened thousands of times" in the last three months in Wagga, which is a "good indication that there is a strong appetite" for on demand delivery.
In other news:
"We know - given Wagga's proximity to Melbourne and Sydney - that there are already Riverina residents who travel to the state capitals where our offering is well established and use the Uber Eats app there and so it makes sense to bring that convenience to their everyday life," she said.
Ms Janiec said the company plans to roll out both pickup and delivery at the same time through the app.
"This double launch will give people the chance to order ahead at their favourite restaurant to grab it for themselves on their way home or to have the food arrive on their front doorstep," she said.
Ms Janiec said they plan to service Wagga from the Murrumbidgee to well south of the Sturt Highway to as far down as Red Hill Road.
However, she said delivery locations will ultimately be decided by which restaurants sign up to the platform.
