To keep everyone safe, the library has adopted several COVID-19 safety measures, in accordance with NSW government requirements.
Public computers are available for 45-minute sessions throughout the day - beginning hourly from 11am - with 15 minutes for cleaning between sessions. Customers should bring their own USB drive and save their files regularly. Time extensions are not permitted, but customers can make a later booking if all computers are in use. Each computer is limited to one user per session.
Dozens of library patrons, despite these limitations, have used computers and printing over the past week, for everything from online job applications to legal documents and personal correspondence.
Computers, Wi-Fi and printing may not be the best-known services the library offers, but they are some of the most in-demand, and the library looks forward to assisting the public in using them.
Public computers are available for 45-minute sessions.
The library still requires all visitors to provide their contact details upon arrival, to be kept for 29 days in the event of an outbreak.
Weekdays between 10 and 11am remain a priority hour for seniors and high-risk people to visit the library, with the rest of community welcome from 11am, and from 10am-4pm on Saturdays. Thousands of items, having been placed in quarantine for 72 hours, are back on the shelves. Members can visit for up to one hour, to choose from a huge range of books, audiobooks, magazines and DVDs.
The library is also conducting a post-lockdown survey: what services did you miss while we were closed, and which did you use for the first time? Participate at bit.ly/WWCL_survey or at waggalibrary.com.au.
