Planned to go ahead in October this year, event organisers described the situation as the "biggest challenge in the Muster's 22 years" in a social media post.

In the post, organisers also stated that public safety was to come first.

"Monitoring the situation, we will be guided by, and act on, advice given by the government with the safety of patrons, artists, volunteers, contractors, vendors, competitors, staff and the community our number one priority," it read.

Tickets are currently on sale despite the uncertainty, but organsiers assured patrons that refunds would be made if necessary, as well as the option to transfer the ticket to next year's event.

So far, an initial lineup of artists has been announced.

Attendees can expect to hear names like The Angels, John Williamson, Busby Marou, Troy Cassar-Daley, Shannon Noll, The McClymonts, McAlister Kemp, Sara Storer, Shane Nicholson, Felicity Urquhart, Hurricane Fall, Darlinghurst and more, should the event go ahead.

But there is also promise of an additional artist announcement if the event gets the all-clear.

"As COVID-19 evolves daily and we all hear many predications, the Deni Ute Muster team will keep you updated if there are any changes in our planning for 2020," the Facebook post read.
