Turvey Park Fire and Rescue crews were on scene just after 7pm Friday after being called to a structure fire near the railway line crossing over Best Street.
Crews arrived with the Aerial Pumper 472 and Pumper 480 where they found a small out building alight.
The quick response meant the blaze was stopped from spreading, and the fire was extinguished within about 40 minutes.
Police and ambulance were also on scene but no one was injured.
A spokesperson from Turvey Park Fire and Rescue said they believed the fire had started in a bin.
