The stars are starting to align and, with the lack of community spread COVID-19 cases in NSW, staff at Wagga's Civic Theatre are feeling cautiously optimistic about the return of performances sooner than first anticipated.

The Civic Theatre team continues to work tirelessly to make sure the venue is ready for people to return. Staff are developing new procedures, operations and protocols for ensuring a safe return. They are re-imagining what the future theatre might look like in the short and long term. But most importantly, they are continuing to plan the fun.
The show will go on, and while it might look a little different, it will still deliver the social connection everyone craves from their theatre experience. Staff have learned that now, more than ever, connection and relationships are key. So, it's time for you to get to know the people behind your theatre.

What do you do at the theatre?
I keep the place running by overseeing every department and managing the budget and the staff. I'm also the artistic director, so I select all the season shows and creatively produce a range of other events.
When I'm not at work, you will find me:
At home with the family. Watching films, listening to music or in the shed.
If you were a storybook character who would you be? Why?
Alice in Wonderland. My middle name is Alice and I looked like her growing up. I think I am very much the adventurous girl, exploring, asking questions and taking chances.
Why do you work in the arts?
Creating happiness and good times for people is addictive.
Use three words to describe Wagga's Civic Theatre:
Dynamic, fun, friendly
Favourite quote?
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I ... I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference - Robert Frost
Something you've learnt this week?
As good as online shows are, it's just not the same as live performance.
