Alanah Pitt is on the board as a trainer after Nevaevabend provided a memorable moment at Riverina Paceway on Friday night.
Not only was it Pitt's first win as a trainer but it was the win win for owners Karenne Richardson and Geoff Abela.
The mare had been placed three times in six starts since being purchased out of Victoria.
Pitt was pleased to see her breakthrough.
"It was good to see her get up finally as she has been going really well for us," Pitt said.
"She has been close and thereabouts but finally got the job done."
Using the sprint lane, the six-year-old downed the Jay Doug by a half neck.
Partner Adam Richardson did the driving and added to the pair's recent success after moving back home to the Riverina from Queensland.
The 23-year-old has only had a handful of starters as a trainer with the win coming almost two years to the day from her first driving win at the old Wagga circuit.
