Wagga drivers have been warned not to overstay their welcome as the city's parking inspectors return to the streets after a two month stint away.

Near the end of March, Wagga council ceased parking patrols around the central business district in response to the growing coronavirus threat.
However, this week, environment and regulatory services manager Mark Gardiner said parking patrols have restarted in line with the easing of restrictions and increased activity within the city centre.
In other news:
"The business groups have been consulted regarding the resumption given the increased demand for parking," he said.
For a short period of time, the council will issue reminders to drivers staying longer than the time zone limits before a fine will be issued.
Last year, the council collected $150,000 from 634 parking infringements over a three-month period from March to May. No money, however was gained from fines this year.
