The mare won on the track two starts back but Hallcroft was disappointed with her efforts last time out when finishing ninth.
However he thought he pulled the wrong rein by changing gear on the mare.
"She was only plain last week as I raced her with one of the Hidez hoods on as I wanted her to relax and she went to sleep," Hallcroft said.
"Looking at form she basically ran the same sectionals the week before winning but with that hood on she was real ordinary.
"Really I put her into a coma last week but this week without the hood she should be a lot sharper."
She has drawn barrier six in the A C Electric Pace (1740m) but has been boosted by the early scratching of Sure Bet Shannon.
Hallcroft expects she will be looking to lead once more.
"She has real good speed so we will be going forward," he said.
"It's not an overly strong race so we will race the dice early as she seems to be better on the speed when she can go at her own tempo and get herself into a happy rhythm."
Reibey Beach has won three of her 37 starts, with another three placings.
However Hallcroft doesn't believe the daughter of Somebeachsomewhere is the most genuine.
"If she raced up to what she works she wouldn't be an under 47 that's for sure," he said.
"She doesn't always turn up and at her best she's good but when she's ordinary she's real ordinary."
Hallcroft also has First Prize engaged in the opening race of the eight-race card.
First Prize will also race without a Hidez hood with Hallcroft looking for another option to help settle the five-year-old coming off a third placing.
"She has a habit of overracing real bad in the prelim and I put the same hood on her last week and she was a heap more tractable and relaxed in the run," Hallcroft said.
"I've made another gear change to her so she won't have that hood on but a removable ear plug hood and with a heap of speed around I'd like to think she could lob there somewhere close without doing a lot of work."
