Resuming from a spell and having only his fourth career start, Front Page scored an incredibly soft and arrogant 9.5-length victory.
The three-year-old gelding recorded a class record and has now won two of four career starts.
"He has always had his fair share of ability but has been slow maturing," Duryea said.
"But he has really matured since having a spell.
"I expected him to be super hard to beat at Albury but I didn't expect to gap his rivals by that big of a margin.
"But I'll take it and to break the class record on a soft track is a remarkable effort."
Front Page is a full-brother to Duryea's smart mare and multiple city winner News Girl.
The pair are sired by Magnus and out of Duryea's handy mare Stacey Lee.
Front Page's victory rekindled memories of Stacey Lee who also blitzed her rivals at Albury by 9.5-lengths when winning her maiden.
Incredibly when Front Page won his maiden at Albury in February over 1175m he ran the exact time as News Girl who also won her maiden on the same track.
"It's hard to believe but they both ran 1:08.77," he said.
"But that is not the only similarity between the two horses.
"News Girl holds the Benchmark 58 class record for fillies and mares.
"And now Front Page has got the same record for colts and geldings.
"Excuse the pun but you wouldn't read about it would you?"
Duryea revealed he has got another half-sister to Front Page and News Girl in Page Three.
Page Three is an unraced two-year-old filly and is sired by Stryker with Stacey Lee the dam.
"We have kept the newspaper theme going with the name Page Three," he said.
"The younger generation wouldn't remember but the page three of the Truth always used to have a bit of eye-candy if you know what I mean."
Duryea said winning jockey Jordan Mallyon was lost for words after returning to the winners stall.
"Jordan just said he did it easy but didn't realise he was in front by that big of a margin," he said.
Meanwhile News Girl will be out to enhance her growing reputation at Caulfield on Saturday.
News Girl has been allocated 56.5kg in the $100,000 Open Hcp, (1100m) with Lewis German booked to ride.
