EAST Wagga Kooringal first grade netball coach Kylie Leddin is adamant teams will need a few weeks of training before a return to play, or risk a raft of serious injuries.

Leddin said the Hawks circulated a message on Monday confirming they hope to restart training next week, in adherence with the NSW Public Health Order released late last week.
Clubs can train in groups of at least ten people, with no swapping of players between groups, with the ten people limit also including coaches and spectators.
Leddin warned against rushing players into games too quickly as officials look to squeeze in a nine-game season, plus finals, for the Riverina and Farrer Leagues.
"We usually do an eight week pre-season, which we did, and we've done nothing for eight weeks, so the guys and netballers are going to need time to build themselves back up to be game ready," Leddin said.
"I'm just a bit worried about injuries, and then they could be out for a full season next year. Some people are of the mindset to call it (off), to not have a season at all because it's just too risky.
"It's worthwhile thinking of those things as well to make sure the players are in good shape before they play. And they're all going to be so excited to get out there, which is an ideal scenario for an injury to happen."
Leddin said the Hawks will hold a committee meeting on Thursday to finalise their requirements to return to training safely.
"The AFL and Netball NSW have said it's OK to come back, but we're just waiting from a committee point of view from our club on how we're going to manage it," she said.
"There's some finer points they need to work out on what we have to provide.
"It's a matter of working that out and having a plan."
