With just a few days of the month left, May's average maximum temperature so far is 16.5 degrees, 0.9 below the long-term average of 17.4.
Those mornings have been every cooler, with May 2020 so far recording an average overnight minimum of 4.8 degrees, 1.1 below the long-term average.
The lowest temperature so far this month was a bracing 0.9 degrees, recorded on May 12.
At the other end of the scale, the month's peak was 22.2 degrees recorded on May 7.
The month's rainfall so far totals 26.6 millimetres, well down on the monthly long-term average of 50.9mm.
But the good news is that, for 2020 to date, the total of 232.6mm is 17mm above the usual average to May in Wagga.
As the city heads towards June 1 - and the official start of winter - Nigel Smedley from the Bureau of Meteorology's Wagga office said the latest predictions are for a wetter-than-average winter.
If you haven't already broken out the woollies, now is the time because Mr Smedley said predictions are also for a cooler-than-average winter.
