McLaughlin has two more meetings left in the region before she joins the Navy and rates the three-year-old her best chance at Riverina Paceway on Tuesday night.
"I think he is a good chance and hopefully he can back up from his run," McLaughlin said. "It's not as easy a field (as Sunday) but I think he will be alright."
Adding to her confidence is coming up with barrier one in the Sky Active Racing Pace (1740m).
Western Style was unplaced in three races last season but has a third and now a win to his credit in two runs back.
McLaughlin believes he's still got plenty to learn about the racing game.
"He went good but is still really, really green," she said."He's just learning."
Western Style's win was part of a double for McLaughlin after later tasting success with Norms Courage on Sunday.
However she has no qualms about giving the game away for a different adventure.
"Everyone keeps telling me it's a sign I shouldn't go saying why are you going to the Navy for as you are excelling in your driving career but it's good to have that as well," she said.
Across the eight-race card McLaughlin has five drives including four for boss Trevor White.
While she rates Western Style her best chance, she's also hoping Dust To Diamonds can have a bit more luck this time around coming off a fourth placing.
"Dust To Diamonds should go good," McLaughlin said.
"He got boxed in last start and didn't get a good crack at them but he is going good too."
The meeting is the third in five days at Riverina Paceway but that could soon change with Harness Racing NSW looking to open more tracks from June 1.
