Two days after uncle Chris McPherson and partner Tom Gilligan won the region's first group one of any racing code with Rocky Creed, Table Top trainer Brooke McPherson added another cup success with Rusty Crackers.
A winner of the Temora Pacers Cup in January, following seconds in the Leeton and Griffith Pacers Cup, Rusty Crackers charged home late to down Major Roll by a head.
McPherson was thrilled with his efforts.
"I had to stay home on Friday, someone had to stay and do all the work and watching on TV is not the same, so I'm stoked to be here," McPherson said.
"He's just getting fitter and fitter and I couldn't be happier."
Settling near the rear of the field after drawing barrier six, Rusty Crackers ($2.80) got the perfect run behind the $2.50 favourite and just had enough in a fast finish to down Stephen Maguire's charge.
After missing out on the group one drive McPherson's brother James was at the helm for the cup win.
She was thrilled for the 19-year-old.
"This will pick him back up again," McPherson said.
"He was shattered about missing out on Friday but had today to look forward to and it paid off."

The Table Top trainer is hopeful restrictions will soon ease to allow the six-year-old the chance to race outside of the Riverina.
Especially with his rating going to 97 with the win.
"He's just getting better and better and hopefully when they lift the restrictions we can go back to Menangle and Melton," McPherson said.
"He runs a good 2200, it is his forte, and with the cups being over that he really thrives on it."
Rusty Crackers has now won 13 of his 60 starts with 12 of them coming for McPherson.
"He rarely runs out of the money and you couldn't ask for a more honest horse," she said.
"He's great."
The win was the second for James McPherson after breaking through for Miss Pau's first victory earlier on the card.
