With wins in Junee and Coolamon's features already under his belt, the four-year-old lines up in the $9690 Wagga Pacers Cup.
The race has had its prizemoney and status slashed from a $30,000 group three due to the coronavirus crisis but has attracted a strong field of up to 90 pacers.
With the barrier draw based on dollars earned in their last five starts Major Roll has come up with the 10 alley.
However the Mirrool trainer-driver isn't too worried about his starting point.
"The draw is alright," Maguire said. "I'm not sure how the two gets out (The Muse) but if it gets out we could lob reasonably handy."
Major Roll has only raced twice since winning the Coolamon Pacers Cup on March 1. The first was a second at Menangle three weeks later before winning at Wagga on May 12.
Maguire believes his latest run was a big benefit heading into the cup.
"I'm more than happy with him," he said.
"The run the other day did him the world of good and has topped him off good.
"He's in a good space at the moment."
Maguire believes this is by far the toughest cup field he's come up against in the region.
Rusty Crackers looms as the hardest to beat after drawing six following success against over half the field last time out.
Major Roll, who is a former MIA Breeders Plate winner, has already banked over $123,000 in prizemoney.
Due to his national rating Maguire is contemplating sending the horse to be based at Menangle.
However he won't make up his mind until after Sunday's feature.
"I have to think about it but will wait until after Sunday to see what is going to happen," Maguire said.
"I want to see if the regions are going to open up and what we are able to do.
"I'll make up a plan after Sunday but at the moment I don't really know what i'm going to do with him as there is not going to be a race here for him."
