Choosing a Catholic School

Catholic schools are more than places of learning. They are genuine communities where positive relationships are actively developed and strengthened by shared beliefs, Gospel values and common goals.

Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga comprises 31 schools across the Riverina and MIA. Boarding facilities can be accessed by three of the secondary schools.

Educating the whole child

The teachers and staff in the Catholic schools are committed to helping each student grow towards reaching their full potential and to become active contributors to their local and global communities both as good citizens and as leaders.

Catholic schools offer holistic care for each child by addressing their intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, emotional and cultural development.

Their aim is to equip students to become lifelong, independent learners and to search for meaning and relevance in a complex and challenging world.

Inclusive

Catholic schools are called to be of service to their local communities. They invite families from all backgrounds or faith traditions, who are committed to and supportive of the mission of Catholic education to enrol their child in one of their schools.

Low fees

Fees in the system of Catholic schools are kept as low as possible for families and significantly no child would ever be precluded from a Catholic education due to a genuine inability to meet scheduled fees.

A partnership

Your child's Catholic school is your Catholic school too.

They welcome parent involvement in all facets of school life and encourage parents to actively support and engage in their child's learning and development.

High-quality teaching

Catholic schools strive for excellence in all areas, encouraging students to use their gifts and talents to reach their potential as learners and contributing members of church and society.

The schools are staffed by highly qualified and professional teachers, dedicated to providing exceptional learning experiences in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Students in Catholic schools can achieve excellent academic results and are provided with individualised learning in modern facilities, including state of the art technologies.

Safe and secure

All schools strive to create an environment where students can feel safe, secure and included.

Their hard-working staff ensure that every student is welcome, no matter their background, and is provided with the skills and knowledge they will require to live happy and fulfilling lives.
