After Woodhouse was unable to take the drive due to the group one classification of the race We Salute You then drew eight for the $100,000 final.
With the emergencies out, he comes back down to six and the Wagga trainer knows the four-year-old and new drive Bruce Harpley have their work cut out for them.
Harpley is the only group one winning reinsman in the field and Woodhouse is unsure of what tactics to take from the wide alley.
"I don't know what he does from there," Woodhouse said.
"The owner is keen for Bruce to push forward and see what happens but it is interesting.
"We're looking forward to it though."
We Salute You sustained a long run to take out his heat.
The Wagga trainer is pleased with how he's come through the run.
"He's been spot on so I can't fault him," Woodhouse said.
"He's pretty fit and has just had a few workouts (since the win) and is bucking his brand off so he's ready to go.
"I'm sure he will run a good race but we just haven't drawn real great.
"We just have to come out and hope for the best.
"He didn't get out of the gate real good last start so we're hoping he comes out a lot better for Bruce."
