The issue has been ongoing, according to one Kooringal resident, who said "enough is enough".
The woman, who did not wish to be named for security purposes, lives on Horsley Street, and woke to sirens on Monday morning.
"It was so loud, there were so many sirens blaring and you could hear the roar of the car through the streets," she said.
"It was terrifying, and of course you can never get back to sleep then."
The incident referred to by the resident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning, where police reported that an unregistered vehicle refused to stop.
"A blue Ford Falcon led police on a bit of a pursuit through the Kooringal area about 4am on Monday morning after it was noticed the vehicle was last registered some four or five years ago," Riverina Police District Inspector John Aichinger said.
"At this point in time the vehicle and driver were not apprehended and police are continuing to investigate."
The recent pursuit was just one of many incidents occurring in the area though, according to the resident.
"We quite often get motorbikes speeding around, and lately it has been pretty common, particularly over the last six or seven months," she said.
"We've even had someone come off in front of us before."
The Kooringal woman said the risk to children and even pets was frightening.
"When you've got a family, getting woken up at all hours of the night is exhausting, you get so sick of it and it's got to stop," she said.
"There's a lot of kids in the street too, it's dangerous, and I'm even hesitant to let my pets out the front in case they get hit."
The constant neighbourhood disruption was unfortunate for an otherwise quiet area.
"It's such a shame, we live in such a beautiful area and it's not on," she said.
"Police can only do so much."
