Whereyabinboppin has been installed as the $1.30 favourite for the $100,000 feature at Riverina Paceway on Friday.
The David Kennedy-trained pacer has drawn to lead in gate six, while his two main dangers came up with second row draws.
Ellen Bartley's pair, Western Sonador and Brooklyn's Best, came up with gates 10 and 12 respectively.
Jones confirmed he will drive Western Sonador but concedes they are up against it.
"I really don't think we could have drawn anywhere worse with either of them," Jones said.
"Brooklyns' is ok, you can punch through and you're already in the running line but for the other fella, it's a nightmare.
"Four on the second line, he's going to have to get back and hope for a Steven Bradbury, really. That's about our only chance from back there and chasing that fella (Whereyabinboppin).
"He's going to be able to run his 53 if he gets his way to the front, which it looks like he probably will, and it's impossible to make up that much ground.
"It's disappointing but there's not much you can do about it. You can only deal with the cards you've been dealt."
The drawn continued a horror stretch of barriers for the Bartley stable throughout the group one series.
The stable has been dealt with gates eight, three, eight, nine and eight through the heats, and now 10 and 12 in the final.
Bartley or Jared Kahlefeldt will drive Brooklyn's Best in the final.
Brooklyn's Best is the $7.00 second favourite with TAB, while Western Sonador and We Salute You share the third line of betting at $12.
The Bartley stable also has Sports Candy in the first consolation final of the series, where Rocky Branach is first emergency.
If he does not gain a start in that, Rocky Branach will start in the second consolation final.
The final is scheduled for 4.40pm on Friday.
