That's the overwhelming response from a survey gauging the opinions of the Football Wagga community, with the vast majority voting to do what is necessary to press for as long a season as possible.
The survey, which addressed a number of issues including season length and make-up, midweek games, Wagga teams playing each other out of town, registration fees and junior football, attracted 560 responses.
Almost 90 per cent of senior men's and women's players said they would compete in leagues that start and finish later in the year, with a similar number expressing their willingness to play as late as November.
A number of options were put forward on potential season structures including cancelling the season, running a shortened season, everyone plays each other once before a three-week finals series and a regular season without finals.
But almost half of respondents said their preference is to play as many regular season games as possible, with a finals series to follow.
"We're pretty keen to play everyone at least once, and then finals," Henwood Park president Ryan Smith said.
"They've spoken about extending the season (into October-November) and we as a club are more than happy to the out of town clubs, because they own their grounds.
"We don't pay players or have huge financial outlays in our sport, so it makes a big difference (trying to start a season)."
Football Wagga is investigating the possibility of playing midweek games to maximise the number of fixtures, with nearly two thirds of respondents keen to do so.
With ground availability in Wagga likely to be an issue later in the year once cricket season starts, nearly 80 per cent of affected players said they would be fine with travelling to nearby towns to take on Wagga rivals at a neutral venue.
It is expected that junior and Mini Roos football will finish around the same time as in past seasons.
Opinion on what should happen with registrations was divided, with 'partial season - reduced fees' narrowly edging out 'credit for fees paid to season 2021'.
