Neighbours spotted scavengers rifling through the piles at 4am on Thursday, scattering garbage off the curb and onto the road in the process.
One elderly resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said the street had become a notorious dumping ground that attracted "undesirables" who came to scavenge the piles of rubbish.
Over the years she's seen bottles of urine, soiled mattresses, and entire fridges dumped directly onto the road and left there for weeks at a time.
She said she has contacted council, the landlord, and the police, but says these dumping incidences keep happening.
"I ring council at least once a week, because it's so disgusting and it keeps happening," she said.
"We [the neighbours] are frightened to speak out because these people are so nutty at times; they fight, they scream, we've had ambulances coming in the middle of the night."
The resident said she'd also seen what she claimed were drug dealers who would come at odd hours of the night, pay short visits to certain units, and then drive off.
Another neighbour told The Daily Advertiser they had notified council about the dumpings and were waiting for staff to come and remove the garbage.
