The mare finished second behind Whereyabinboppin in last week's heat and is out to go one better at Riverina Paceway on Friday.
She's drawn to utilise her gate speed this time around and Junee trainer Terry Judd is pleased with how the mare comes into the Regional Championships series.
"There are some nice horses in there but if she repeats what she did last week, and there is no reason why she won't, I think she is capable of going good and with a bit of luck she can go one better," Judd said.
"If she doesn't then she is in the consolation as the quickest second last week, but hopefully she can get into the final."
While beaten 32.7 metres but the ultra-impressive pre-series favourite, Judd believes her form stacks up against the rest of her rivals in the series.
He hopes she can continue it to take her place in the $100,000 next Friday.
"We looked at the times that they went and there her sectionals were only a second and a half behind Whereyabinboppin and about a second and half quicker than the others," he said.
"She is on track."
Purchased for $4000 by son Chris, Ideal Fantasy has more than paid her way.
She's won eight of her 55 starts, with another 18, and has banked over $50,000.
She has only missed the top four in two in her last 15 starts and Judd believes some of that could be contributed to an interrupted lifestyle when trained near Exeter by James Rattray.
"This filly has done a good job and a couple of runs when she didn't go good was when the fires hit," he said.
"She had to be shifted from stable to stable a couple of times as James had to evacuate 38 horses from his place within about half an hour.
"Thanks to Neil Day, the Hewitt boys, Cam and Ash Hart and a couple of others Chris called on after putting in on Facebook to help but as she went to different stables and that is when we got her back here.
"It unsettled the mare a bit, and can be a bit that way, but she has been quite good in the last couple of weeks."
Ideal Fantasy has drawn barrier five in the first of the final five heats on Friday.
