Family and friends posted messages of grief and support for Jack Williams, who grew up at Rand, on his Facebook page following the crash.
"Rest In Peace Brother! Top lad and gone way too soon. Be Missed by many mate," Sean Naes said.
"Rest In Peace mate. I'll have a couple of beers for you tonight. Condolences to your family," Luke Murphy said.
A single floral tribute was laid at the scene of the fatal crash on Monday for the concreter who completed his education at Xavier High School.

Murray River Police District said a Ford Ranger crashed into a tree on Howlong-Kywong Road, Walbundrie about 2.30am.
"A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash was under way," a police statement said.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
