As of Saturday morning, the total number of identified COVID-19 positive patients in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District remained at 45.

The total number of people tested increased from 3967 on Friday to 4157 on Saturday.

Wagga's local government area has seen nine people recover from coronavirus, leaving just one active case.

The total number of people who recovered across the health district has been lowered from 40 to 39 due to a statistical error on Friday.

"Please note there was a glitch in our system yesterday and the death had been reported in the 'Recovery' data. Please accept our apologies," a Murrumbidgee Local Health District statement said.

The health district has recorded one fatality from coronavirus during the pandemic, 74-year-old Corowa woman Beryl Bourke, who died in Albury early last month after returning from a trip to New Zealand.

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever and dry cough. Some people also experience sore throat, shortness of breath, or runny or stuffy nose.
