POLICE have charged a woman with fraud following an investigation into the theft of nearly a million dollars.

Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District began making inquiries into the woman in February this year after reports of a break and enter at a store in Hillston.
Police allege the 34-year-old woman conducted an elaborate fraud with multiple identity thefts, stealing money from various online banking accounts as well as applying for credit cards and personal loans using multiple people's identities.
The woman is alleged to have fraudulently obtained more than $933,000 over four months, securing thousands in merchandise and cash in the process.
A search warrant was executed at a Hillston home about 11am on April 30, with investigators locating and seizing computers, tablets, telephones and sim cards.
The search followed reports of the woman allegedly breaking into a store in Hillston in the early hours of Tuesday, February 25, where she stole cash and stock - including clothing and jewellery - worth more than $2,000.
The woman was arrested and taken to Griffith Police Station, where she was charged with four counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage etc by deception and break, enter and steal.
She was refused bail and is due to appear in Wagga Local Court today.
Inquiries are continuing and further charges are expected to be laid.
