The state government invested more than $95,000 into the Wagga Youth Leaders Program through its Strong Country Communities Fund.
Committee 4 Wagga chief executive Alan Johnston said the leadership program, which was designed with a regional flavour has been developing young ambassadors for the city for about six years.
The participating high school students learn about presentation skills, leadership development and business operation to prepare them to become future leaders.

"The outcome for these students is to embrace and understand what leadership means and becoming aware of their community and their role, not just now but in the years to come," Mr Johnston said.
Wagga MLC Wes Fang said the milestone investment will help build confident and capable future leaders and young ambassadors for the city.
"We do not want to see our youth fall through the cracks. They deserve to have every opportunity to succeed in life and have a positive influence on our city," he said.
"By investing in our young people, we are investing in the future of regional NSW."
