After a false alarm on the weekend the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases stands at 45.
MLHD executives last week announced a widening of COVID-19 testing parameters and anyone with flu-like symptoms is being encouraged to get tested.
About 578 people have been tested since then, which brings the total number of tests to 3,667.
Health officials want more people to come forward for testing, which will be "more important than ever" as social distancing restrictions in NSW are eased.
Two people will be allowed to visit someone at a different house from Friday and a low transmission rate is needed for the restrictions to be lifted further.
All but 6 cases in the region have now recovered, and most have done so at home.
No-one is currently being treated in hospital for the virus.
In Wagga there is now only one person confirmed to have the virus.
Symptoms can take between three and 14 days to show up, so the MLHD is reminding the community to remain vigilant about hygiene practices and social distancing measures.
The Murrumbidgee COVID-19 Hotline, 1800 831 099, is available between 7am and 9pm everyday for a confidential over-the-phone assessment.
