The 19-year-old Greater Western Sydney midfielder was named on the interchange for the 21-player team after it was cut back from the All Australian Squad of 40 announced earlier this month.
Parker was delivered the news by GWS coach Alan McConnell via zoom on Monday while at her family farm at Cookardinia.
"It was a huge surprise," she said.
"I told him (McConnell), before he told me, that I wasn't expecting it and if it were to happen it would be a huge shock, which is exactly what it was.
"It's not only a reward for me but for all of the people that have helped me over the last three years of playing AFL.
"It's extremely humbling to be recognised and a huge honour."
Parker was the only Greater Western Sydney player to be named in the team.
It marked her first appearance and her second consecutive year in the All Australian squad since her AFLW debut.
She said it was an honour to appear alongside the AFLW players she had looked up to along the way.
"It's a huge honour to be recognised alongside some pretty amazing names in AFLW," Parker said.
"There's some incredible players who I have so much respect for.
"To make the team alongside them is very special.
"It's a huge reward for the hard work this year and the years leading up to it.
"It's a bit of a measurement of where I'm at."
