POLICE have charged a woman who allegedly threatened people with a tomahawk in Wagga yesterday.

Officers from the Riverina Police District were called to Bentley Place at about 9am Sunday where the woman was allegedly armed with a tomahawk outside a unit, threatening a 72-year-old man and 37-year-old woman who lived inside.
The woman was taken to Wagga Police Station and charged with stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm (personal), destroy or damage property, and armed with intent to commit indictable offence.
Police also issued the woman with a $1000 penalty infringement notice for failing to comply with Ministerial Directions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
She was granted conditional bail on Monday to reappear in Wagga Local Court on May 13.
