As at 9am Sunday, the Bureau of Meteorology reported a total rainfall of 3.6mm across Wagga, continuing steadily throughout the day.
BoM recorded a total of 7mm for Wagga by lunchtime, with the wet weather marking the start of a week of trying conditions as temperatures look to take a dip.
"There is a significant cold outbreak coming through, and with that we will see rain and potentially thunderstorms, particularly from Thursday and into the weekend," BoM's duty forecaster Gabrielle Woodhouse said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Temperatures are set to drop to highs of just 11-12 degrees by the end of the week, with Thursday showing a 95 per cent chance of up to 20mm rain.
"There is definitely going to be a significant change in the temperatures and a decent rainfall total," Ms Woodhouse said.
"It may move towards more average conditions after but it's hard to say, although this is something everyone should be paying close attention to with the potential for numerous warnings heading into the weekend."
