Riverina Football League matches have been put on hold while the COVID-19 pandemic takes hold and there's no concrete answers regarding whether or not if or when the competition may resume in 2020.
The Crows had enjoyed a solid pre-season, working since November last year on both player fitness and their game plan following a slow 2019.
His advice to players has been to try and keep up their fitness where possible, although this too is limited with gyms closed and training sessions cancelled.
"I've told the boys to just go for a run to try and keep that pre-season fitness up ... there's not much else we can really be doing at the moment, but everyone is in the same boat," Muir said.
Leeton-Whitton were one of the first clubs to react to the coronavirus crisis, cancelling training sessions when the government enacted restrictions on groups of 500 people.
"We thought it was in the best interests of our players, their health and their families health to get on top of it early and obviously looking back at it now, it was definitely the right decision," Muir said.
In terms of what a possible 2020 Riverina League Football season could look like, Muir was uncertain what the future would hold.
He said a shortened competition could be a possibility, but said playing six or seven games and having a premiership winner at the end of it would likely hold less meaning to clubs.
Muir also doesn't want to risk players getting injured.
"Will it be a case of starting to play straight away when restrictions are ended?" he questioned.
"Obviously we don't have the answers, but I also don't want to be doing anything that's going to risk possible injury to players.
"It's really hard to know what will happen. It's all just guessing at the moment."
