New Oceanic owner John Spanos is hoping for the usual Easter rush despite stay-at-home restrictions, as people turn to take-away meals and familiar rituals amid coronavirus uncertainty
Mr Spanos would normally have "a shop full of people" on Good Friday, waiting for their fish and chips to come out of the fryers.
During last year's Good Friday rush Mr Spanos and his staff went through about one-and-a-half tonnes of potato and 400 kilos of fish.
Mr Spanos said the coronavirus had added an element of uncertainty to this year's preparations, and he wasn't sure whether he'd get as many customers as usual.
"At the same time we're trying to have enough for everyone and make sure we don't run out, " Mr Spanos said.
"The biggest challenge this year has been how much stock to have on hand."
Fish has been the Good Friday meal of choice for many Christians since Roman Catholic times.
