Recent panic buying has made it difficult for some of Wagga's most vulnerable to access some essential items when they visit the shops.
Earlier this month, when an 81-year-old woman mentioned she was struggling to find toilet paper during her weekly visit to Lake Village Takeaway, owner Kelly Roberts jumped into action.
"Once I got told that I went 'no way, no way can we let this happen'," she said.
Ms Roberts visited other neighbouring stores to track down the woman's address, and arrived on her doorstep that evening with four toilet rolls.
"She can't get up at 7 o'clock in the morning and be out when all the shelves are stocked so she misses out," she said.
"The elderly, they don't deserve to go without."
Since that day, Ms Roberts said she was giving out the majority of the toilet paper she was getting in for the shop to make sure her elderly regular customers were not missing out.
"I've been giving most of it away because you hear stories like this all the time," she said.
The takeaway shop is also hoping to help out essential service workers while they can, running a giveaway competition for emergency and medical workers.
Ms Roberts said while it was a tough time for all small businesses, it was more important than ever to be generous to those supporting the shop.
"If I get the business I like to give back to the community and just show them how much I appreciate their support," she said.
"It's just to show them that we are in this together ... hopefully at the end of it we can bounce back even stronger."
