The eight-year-old has won the group three three times and missed out on a fourth straight success by head last season.
He's drawn barrier four in this year's addition of the feature race however trainer-driver Brad Hewitt is far confident with a stellar field assembled.
"It's easily the best field he's had to come up against," Hewitt said.
"It will be tough but he is still racing good.
"He'll just have to have a bit of luck."
Coming off a group one victory at Menangle on Saturday night, Inter Dominion runner-up Our Uncle Sam looms as the big danger.
Spare Me Days has spent most of his racing career with Hewitt, who bred the son of Ifihadyourluck and co-owns with wife Millie, but will have his first run back for the Goulburn horseman.
Hewitt elected to send Spare Me Days to Craig Cross, who won with him in January, to utilise the water walker but brought him home with this race in mind.
"We went down there in November as we hadn't had water here in four months to see if it would help him out," Hewitt said.
"They done a good job with him but I brought him back to race around Young, Bankstown and Penrith cup as he loves the little tracks."
Major Roll flies the flag for the Riverina as he chases more cup success.
After winning the Coolamon and Junee cups in his last three starts, Major Roll has drawn barrier two for Mirrool trainer-driver Stephen Maguire.
Young reinsman Blake Micallef will also take his first drive in a group race aboard Better Than Best for Nathan Turnbull.
The $20,400 Young Oaks and $20,400 Young Derby are the other features on the night.
Hewitt was extremely disappointed to miss a start in the Derby with Rockin With Elvis.
However as the group one placegetter hadn't won enough prizemoney in his last five starts, despite competing at the top level, he wasn't drawn in the field.
