Police are investigating after three men in face coverings allegedly stole a car at gunpoint before chasing the fleeing victim, at 1.45am on Tuesday.

In a statement NSW Police said a man was sitting in a white Mazda 6 on Kurnell Street, North Albury, when he was approached by three men wearing face coverings.
"One of the men approached the front-passenger door and struck the driver in the face and arm with a metal pole, before demanding keys and the man's wallet," police said.
"A second man allegedly opened the driver's door and threatened the driver with a firearm, before again demanding keys to the vehicle.
"The third man entered the backseat of the vehicle."

NSW Police said the driver left the vehicle and ran from the men, who followed him in his car.
The man hid in the front yard of a property on Kurnell Street before seeking assistance from a nearby house as the vehicle drove away.
The man was taken to Albury Hospital with injuries to his head and chin and police are investigating.
About 2.40am on Tuesday, the stolen car was located on fire at Reservoir Road, Lavington.
As investigations continue, police are appealing for anyone who may have information, or noticed anything suspicious around the time of the incident to come forward.
